Daily Childcare Cleaning in Melbourne
What daily childcare cleaning covers
Daily cleaning focuses on the areas children and staff use every day. A typical scope includes:
- Vacuuming and mopping floors in rooms, corridors and entries
- Cleaning children's bathrooms, nappy change areas and adult washrooms
- Wiping tables, chairs, benches and accessible surfaces
- High-touch points: door handles, gates, light switches and rails
- Kitchen and eating areas within the agreed scope
- Emptying bins and removing general waste
Scheduled around your operating hours
Cleaning is usually completed after closing. Frequency can be daily, five, three or one day per week, or a custom arrangement — agreed in writing before service starts.
Clear checklists
Allocate daytime spills, between-use nappy-change cleaning and food-handling tasks to the staff present during operating hours. A contractor visit after closing does not replace those responsibilities. Our after-hours access and handover guide covers room clearance, keys, alarms and completion notes.
Each site gets a checklist so you know exactly what is done and when. See an example on our childcare cleaning checklist page.
Honest limits
Plan specific tasks with our bathroom and nappy-change cleaning, kitchen cleaning and floor and carpet vacuuming scopes. Frequency, access and products are agreed for each area, not assumed from a generic checklist.
Routine daily cleaning removes dirt and visible soiling. It is not specialist disinfection and cannot guarantee illness prevention or regulatory compliance. For periodic detailed work, see deep cleaning for childcare centres.
